Slovakia sits close to its neighbors in shape, an industrial economy built on manufacturing, construction, and a growing IT sector, all reachable for someone arriving from outside. The diaspora stays close to home, concentrated in neighboring Czechia (231.4K) and Austria. Arrivals are led by a Ukrainian community of 122.3K.
