About the service
Migranto helps people decide where to live. You describe what matters to you in your own words, and our AI turns each preference into a scoring criterion, evaluates countries, regions, and cities against it, and ranks the places that fit you best. Every country also has a dedicated profile with structured data and analysis. The service may evolve over time, with features added, changed, or removed. It is provided as-is, without any guarantees about availability, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Data sources & accuracy
Figures on the site come from publicly available datasets and from our own calculations on top of them. Migration data comes from the International Migrant Stock 2024 dataset, published by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Population Division (2024). Salary, cost-of-living, and tax figures draw on Eurostat, the International Labour Organization, the OECD, the World Bank, and the United Nations Statistics Division, adjusted to the current year with IMF growth data. Many of these indicators are our own estimates rather than figures published by those organizations, and carry no endorsement from them. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness, and original sources remain the authoritative reference. Scores for the criteria you write are different in kind. An AI model reads your wording, builds a scale from it, and judges each place against that scale, so those scores are informed estimates with no dataset behind them, and two similar criteria can produce different scales.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the content, visualizations, design, software, and the derived datasets behind them are owned by Migranto. Third-party datasets remain the property of their respective sources and are used under their own terms, most of them Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. The criteria you write become part of how the service works. By submitting one you give us the right to store it, to score places against it, and to serve the resulting criterion and its scores to anyone who later describes the same thing, so that the work of building a criterion is done once rather than repeated. You keep no exclusive claim over a criterion you submitted, and we may withdraw or replace one at any time. You may reference and link to the site within the acceptable-use rules below, and reproducing substantial portions of the site requires our written permission.
Not professional advice
Information on Migranto is for general orientation only. It is not legal, immigration, financial, tax, relocation, or any other professional advice. Decisions about moving country involve specific personal circumstances and should be discussed with qualified professionals before any action is taken. Calculator results are illustrative estimates built from country averages, not a projection of what you personally would earn, spend, or save. Match scores, the scales behind them, the explanations attached to them, and the ranking they produce are generated by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. A place at the top of your ranking is not a recommendation, and a place at the bottom is not a verdict on it. Written summaries on data pages and answers from Migo, our AI assistant, are generated the same way and carry the same caveats.
Acceptable use
You may browse the site, share links, and reference our visualizations for personal, educational, and non-commercial use, with attribution. You may not scrape, mass-download, or republish substantial portions of the site for commercial purposes without permission. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or use automated systems that place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure. You may not misuse our AI features, whether the criteria you submit for scoring or the Migo assistant. That includes attempts to make them produce harmful content, to uncover or override the instructions they run on, or to use them for purposes unrelated to deciding where to live. We may decline a criterion, withdraw one, or limit how many you can create.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Migranto and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on any information presented on it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
