Living in Venezuela

Venezuela's diaspora has exploded: the number living abroad has grown roughly 900% over the past decade to about 8.3M, the world's eighth-largest, a surge that reflects the country's economic and political collapse. Most have stayed in the region — Colombia hosts 2.9M and Peru 1.6M — though over 760K have reached the United States. Venezuela is now overwhelmingly a net-sending country.
